“Our guide Elvis was great, our driver Khalif was great. The trip was the trip was fantastic other than a really obnoxious fellow passenger. I learned so much about George Washington and his life at Mount Vernon! We did not get a walking tour around Alexandria, which was disappointing, but we did get to stop at Christchurch and look around. I plan to go back to both places because there was no way we could see everything. My friend and I really enjoyed our trip.”

Our guide was knowledgable and informative, and she was willing to adjust our time to focus on our main interests, which were the gardens and the highlights of the house. We got to go all the way upstairs in the house, which is closed to regular visitors, and we got to lay a wreath right on George Washington's tomb! “Great bike trail from D.C. to Mt. Vernon-well laid out and easy to follow the trail. Super relaxing to ride and is virtually flat. Bikes were in good shape and I cycle a lot on my own time. We picked up the bikes in Old Town Alexandria and headed out on our own from there. The driver was aggressive and rude, demanding a tip 'with a zero on the end of the note' before we got off the bus. The tickets are $20 to get in. This is essentially an absolutely ripped off drive.
